The Chesham Building Society, founded in 1845, claims to be the oldest building society in the world. It is the 44th largest building society in the UK.

The society has three branches, in Chesham, Aylesbury and Little Chalfont, plus one agency office in Tring.

The Chesham Building Society focuses almost entirely on mortgages, but does also offer a select few savings accounts to its members.
