ING Direct, part of International Netherlands Group (ING), started trading in the UK in 2003. The company markets mortgage products from offices in Reading and Cardiff.
Mortgage Products
Flexible Mortgages: variable rate mortgages with options for underpayments, overpayments and payment holidays.
ING Direct does not have any expensive branches to service, allowing the bank to offer a competitive and exclusive range of mortgages, savings and insurances to suit just about any customers needs.
Simplicity is the key to ING Direct’s success with their flexible mortgages having no initial fees, free valuations and no fees to leave the bank. In line with the simplicity philosophy, borrowers on an ING Direct mortgage can overpay as much or as frequently as they like and can also take payment holidays for up to six months if required.
In a similar way, the savings accounts offered by ING are easy to understand, open and manage. The minimum saving amount is just £1, there are great rates and no penalties for moving cash from the savings account as required. For those looking for more long term options there are longer term ISA saving accounts which offer enhanced rates for the first six months.
All accounts can be managed either online or over the phone depending on the needs of the client. There are no branches, but all call centres are UK based to ensure consistency of service.
