Mortgage Products
Standard Variable Rate Mortgage: a variable rate mortgage where monthly repayments go up and down in line with the lender’s base rate.
Mortgages and remortgages are available for properties with agricultural restrictions, buy to let properties, let to buy properties, commercial and semi-commercial properties, holiday homes, unusual properties and equity release for over 55s.
Harpenden specialises in offering tailor made products to meet the needs of the individual borrower, in particular allowing flexibility of repayments including making overpayments and early repayments as and when finances become available.
Other schemes and programmes include let to buy mortgages where an existing property can be kept and let out to make the mortgage payments on the new property. Traditionally this would not be covered by buy to let mortgages.
There are also lifetime mortgages which allow the borrower to take the mortgage that they have with them from property to property thus making the moving process much quicker.
Commercial options are available to those with a property development requirement and unusual homes such as listed buildings or property in need of extensive renovation. Additional borrowings are available for development purposes and The Harpenden will consider properties with agricultural restrictions and holiday homes abroad.
