The Coventry Permanent Economic Building Society was founded in 1884. After a number of previous mergers it combined with the Coventry Provident to form the Coventry Building Society in 1983. It is the fifth largest building society in the UK.
The Coventry Building Society has 48 branches throughout the English Midlands, including 11 in Coventry itself.

Standard Variable Rate Mortgage: a variable rate mortgage where monthly repayments go up and down in line with the lender’s base rate.
